Miley Cyrus's Album Won't Be 'That Hip-Hop,' Pharrell Says
'She can't be put into a box,' says P

With every new single, collaboration and twerkin' video that she drops, Miley Cyrus continues to tickle fans with her spontaneity, but Pharrell, who is producing her upcoming album, is also a big fan of Miley's Southern charm.
"I love Miley — she's really honestly at the core a good person and it's always cool to work with Southern people," Pharrell tells MTV News of immediately hitting it off with the 20-year-old. "Not that I don't love working with West Coast, Midwest and East Coast people, but Southern people just have this thing where...sort of a Southern value kicks in and along with that value is also that Southern appreciation."
Miley and Skateboard P have been working together for over a year now, and their friendship has grown over those months spent in the studio. "Coming from Nashville, she just sort of appreciates things in a different way and it comes through in her performance and her aspiration," he continued. "That's my lil sis. She knows what she wants to do and at the tender age that she is now, she's just getting started."
In addition to Pharrell's contributions, Miley collaborated with ATL producer Mike Will Made It on her new 'turn up' anthem "We Can't Stop," which includes some chopped-and-screwed elements and leans away from the electro influence of her Disney days. The LP will also include a feature from Wiz Khalifa and possibly even French Montana, but don't expect the hip-hop lean on the LP to be too heavy.
"It's just gonna sound like her and her influences, but it's not that hip-hop heavy," Pharrell says of the full body of work. That's not what she does, that's not where she comes from. It's a part of what she loves, which is a very big difference."
"I would expect that there would be elements of the things that she's into, but nothing rules her," he added. "She's a fiery Sagittarius; she can't be put into a box. None of us can anyway. All of us like a little of this and a little of that, in terms of the elements of our influences."
So, no twerkin' anthem on the album then?

"We all know that the tween years can be tough. You have to make the hard decisions of what to wear to school, deal with the stress of parents and friends and then there's always the boy drama. Well, lucky for all you tweens there is about to be a book that helps you deal with all those problems—and so much more.
"Dancing With the Stars" runner-up and Disney star Zendaya Coleman is set to release a new guidebook, "Between U and Me: How to Rock Your Tween Years with Style and Confidence."
"Basically I wanted to make something that was actually going to be useful,” Zendaya told MTV News. "I wanted it to be something that would help people, just help that little tween demographic that watches me and knows me, and it’s kind of an awkward age. It’s an age when you’re not necessarily a teenager, but you’re not a kid, and parents don’t really remember what it’s like to be 12, 13, 14, so I wanted to definitely help out in that sense, and I think it can be little things that it helps through, like little things at school, to what you want to wear, to bigger issues."
And while the book includes photos, recipes and playlists, Zendaya also draws from her personal experiences, since, at just 16 years old, her tween years are still fresh in her mind.
"It’s definitely about my own experiences, I definitely had a good tween years, and I want to help people get through those tween years,” Zendaya said. “I’m a normal kid. I still went to school at that time. It’s about even dealing with girl problems at school. Sometimes books tell you not the most honest answers because sometimes it doesn’t fit for your situation, like talk to a teacher, sometimes you really need some girl-to-girl advice on what you’re supposed to do and actual insight, so I’m trying to be the big sister."

Liam Hemsworth, boyfriend/fiancé/whatever of Miley Cyrus, has joined Twitter. Clearly a promotional move, at this writing, he only has two tweets – one from Team Liam. That’s fine, I don’t see anything wrong with them using Twitter to promote a film, especially when they are forthright about it.
What’s interesting is that Miley has once said her hiatus from Twitter was prompted by Liam wanting her to give it up (she has since of course returned). There’s an argument to be made that tweeting personally and tweeting professionally are two different things, so it doesn’t make him a hypocrite, and I agree there is a distinction.
But… he follows her. Like, on Twitter you guys. Great, so now we have another way to monitor their relationship. So when they break up for real, is he going to unfollow her? She follows him too, so are they back together? Who knows. Do they even know? But Twitter will now be another gauge for people to measure their commitment to one another. And it’s not an unfair assessment – this is their world (or the world they have created). They just opened themselves up to a lot of double tagged posts @mileycyrus @liamhemsworth.
My guess is that Liam’s tweets, even his “personal” ones, will be pretty staid. Liam wants to be a movie star. He isn’t one yet. Curiously, in this protracted break-up, he has come off like the good guy, and Miley the awful girl with short hair. And you know who’s perpetuating that? Other girls. I talked to a 22-year-old, right around Miley’s age, about it recently and she said, “So glad they broke up, I hate her.” I defended Miley and the response was, “Ya, but he’s hot.” Subtext: Miley’s not good enough for and/or pretty enough for Liam.
Question: Who the f-ck was Liam Hemsworth before The Hunger Games? Miley Cyrus’s boyfriend, that’s who. But they way people –girls in particular – have turned so quickly on her, it’s reminiscent of Britney/Justin, no? Even though he’s been the naughty one, there’s a perception that she’s lucky to be with him.
