Demi Lovato's interactive ebook available now

"Demi Lovato is bringing fans into her world with her new e-book, "Demi." The book, out now, takes fans along for the journey with the singer and "X Factor" judge during the making of her album of the same name, which dropped last month.

Billed as "the official companion" to the album, the book gives fans behind-the-scenes access to the singer, including never-before-seen footage and interviews. In one clip, she says that being honest and open is not only the message she's sending her fans in the book but also on her 2013 album release.

"I wrote about personal experiences and became more candid about them," she says in a video clip featured in the release."I also feel like my lyrics were more vulnerable, and I'm just really proud of how honest I was in this album."

The e-book also takes a look back at Demi's career up to this point, including a timeline of some of the former Disney star's biggest moments. But the book really takes a look at who Lovato is now as a performer, as evidenced in featured performance footage. In one clip, the 20-year-old belts out her Demi ballad "In Case." Shot in black-and-white, the clip strips it all down and puts Demi's voice on full display.

She said, "This album I've had enough time to really reflect on personal experiences and look back at my life after having overcome a bunch of things. I've been more aware of myself; therefore, when you listen to the album, you can really tell in the lyrics and in the emotion and everything I worked really, really hard on this album, and hopefully you'll be able to hear that."

While it seems like the book may reveal sides of the singer she's never shown before, in "Demi" she admits that her Lovatics already know almost everything about her, including the struggles that landed her in a treatment facility in 2010. Still, there is one thing they may not realize about the multi-hyphenate performer as revealed in the book.

"What they may not know is that I give really good advice and I like to pride myself on that," she said. "So when my friends call me, if it's in the middle of the night or during the day, I will be a really great friend and sit on the phone and make sure that I don't hang up until they're good.""

Disney Channel is closing the books on Good Luck Charlie.

The live-action, half-hour comedy will end after it wraps up production on the current fourth season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The rest of the episodes are expected to air through 2014.

“ 'That’s a wrap’ will be called on the production after four years with creators/executive producers Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen and executive producer Dan Staley," Disney Channel said in a statement to THR. "The cast and crew are superb, they deserve tribute for their work and we will look forward to the big finale episode the creative team is planning.”

Good Luck Charlie centers on the Duncan family, who are adjusting to the birth of their fourth child, Charlotte "Charlie" Duncan. Bridgit Mendler, Leigh-Allyn Baker, Bradley Steven Perry, Mia Talerico, Eric Allan Kramer and Jason Dolley co-star in the series. The TV movie Good Luck Charlie: It's Christmas Time! drew nearly 7 million viewers to its premiere telecast in December 2011.

Currently Good Luck Charlie is filming a crossover episode with Jessie. The cast of Good Luck Charlie is scheduled to attend Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim in August.

Mike Will Made It talks "We Can't Stop" + new Miley pics

"Miley Cyrus dropped her new single, "We Can't Stop," last week, and it immediately became an early contender for song of the summer. With its party vibe and sing-along chorus about dancing the night away, the track is likely to make its way onto every beachgoer's playlist this season.

The lead single off Miley's 2013 album touches on more mature subject matter than the singer has belted out in the past, which makes a bit of sense given its backstory. Producer Mike Will Made It revealed that while the song feels distinctly Miley Cyrus now, he had another pop princess in mind when he started composing it.

"It was kind of crazy 'cause ... when I originally worked on 'We Can't Stop,' we had did it for Rihanna," the producer told MTV News. "The idea was more towards Rihanna. And then Rihanna, she heard [her Unapologetic track] 'Pour It Up,' and then she got on 'Pour It Up' right away. And she didn't even hear 'We Can't Stop.' So then we finished up the record."

After wrapping up his time with Rihanna, Mike began toying with the idea that "We Can't Stop" might be the perfect way to kick off the next chapter in Miley's career. So, after her team heard it, and the former Disney star gave it two thumbs up, she headed into the booth and put her own stamp on the tune, which is partly inspired by a real-life soiree. While recording, Miley and Mike forged a fruitful musical partnership that spawned the song.

"She liked it, so I thought we were going to knock out one record, and we ended up going in, caught a good vibe, and she's real cool, regular person," Mike explained. "We went in, she nailed the record, and she did it with her swag. So it sounds totally different than from what we originally tried to come up with."

The day Miley dropped the song, MTV News' cameras were with the singer, who shared that "We Can't Stop" really sums up who she is as a person and as an artist these days. "Like the song says, we can love who we want. I'm really free about the way I feel and who I am," she explained last week. "Of course, I want people to love my music, but it's like, at the end of the day, I make music for me. I make music 'cause I love it and I know, like I said, I put good energy into it. I want to make this song the biggest song in the world.""

Jonas Brothers new single "First Time" out now!

"Jonas Brothers kept it peppy and tongue-in-cheek on their lead single “Pom Poms” — their first since parting ways to pursue solo efforts several years ago — but their just-leaked sophomore single, “First Time,” is as swoony and sincere as anything in their back catalogue: Fizzy production over a propulsive midtempo beat yields to a big, gorgeous Kings of Leon-Coldplay-style lighters-up chorus.

“C’mon, let it set you free / Right here, right now where you’re supposed to be,” they sing, the melody soaring in just the right aching way.

“First Time” feels like a summer beach-party winding-down anthem, a sound that places them in a more mature adult-contemporary space without abandoning the sound of their roots. For a reason I can’t entirely pinpoint, something about it even reminds me a little bit of the mid-noughties pop-rock acts like Mae or Death Cab for Cutie at their poppiest: It’s wistful and luminous and probably my favorite thing I’ve ever heard from them, so good job, brothers Jonas."

'The Fosters' RISES in 2nd Week Despite "Controversy"

_1360189366

ABC Family drama “The Fosters” — assailed by One Million Moms for “pushing an agenda that homosexuality is acceptable”— saw a surge in viewership on Monday for its second episode.

The conservative group, a spinoff of the American Family Association, didn’t take too well to the new drama, which is exec produced by Jennifer Lopez’s production company and stars Teri Polo and Sherri Saum as an interracial married lesbian couple raising a mix of biological, adopted and foster children.

Even before the show was officially picked up to series last summer, OMM started a campaign to stop the show from airing; and in a statement on its website last week following the “Fosters” premiere, it urged members to write to specific advertisers of the first episode. But if it did anything, the controversy may have brought more attention to the drama.

“The Fosters,” which received generally positive reviews from critics, was cable’s No. 2 scripted program in the 9 o’clock hour among females 12-34 — increasing 20% from its premiere to 798,000 viewers in the demo, according to Nielsen. It was also up 20% in total viewers (1.70 million vs. 1.42 million).

It meshed well with its lead-in, the season premiere of “Switched at Birth” (0.7/2 in 18-49, 1.66m), with “The Fosters” matching or building on “Switched” in the net’s target demos.

One Million Moms initiated a protest of the Ryan Murphy comedy “The New Normal” for NBC before it was in production last year. Last December, it objected to JC Penney’s use of Ellen DeGeneres as spokesperson in a Christmas-themed commercial.

Elsewhere Monday, the only scripted series to top “The Fosters” in females 12-34 on Monday at 9 was VH1′s “Hit the Floor” (1.0/3, 1.98m), which drew about 894,000 in the category and continues to be a good sked partner for the net’s unscripted series “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” at 10 (1.0/3 in 18-49, 1.65m).

"Miley Cyrus is speaking out after last night's Twitter war of words from Amanda Bynes.

The former Nickelodeon star tweeted that the singer was "ugly" repeatedly, and even posted photos of Cyrus without makeup on.

When asked about her feelings on the matter by Hot 95.5 radio show host Kane, the pop star offered her rationale for not reaching out to the She's the Man actress directly.

"I won't even entertain that thought. I think it's all so sad and I don't want to add any fuel to that fire. It's so sad to me," she said. "I was rooting for her comeback until she started attacking me, and I just thought it was hilarious that she mentioned my name the moment I was the worldwide trending topic on Twitter."

"It's just funny the moment you're a trending topic how many people want your name to come out of their mouth, so somehow they can associate and maybe they can become a trending topic," she added.
We say take the high road!"

"What's better than Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran hanging out? Uh, Selena Gomez and Ed Sheeran hanging out!

That's exactly what happened today, we've seen the pics that prove it!

Walking out of her house and into a car with his guitar in hand, Ed was photographed leaving Sel's crib.

Sooo, do you think the two celebs were making music together or are they really more than just friends?

We think they were probably just making music (especially because he had his guitar with him( but really, how awesome would an Ed and Sel relationship be?! We would be shocked though because he did tell us on Twitter a few weeks ago that they're good friends.

Hmm! What do you think?"

On Monday (June 3), both Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez released new music.

Selena Gomez debuted the official audio of her next single, "Slow Down", on VEVO and iTunes. Selena Gomez' Cataracs-produced party song debuted at Billboard Hot 100 chart at #70. "Slow Down" is not Selena's current single, but it will be her second single from her fourth album "Stars Dance". She has already filmed the music video in Paris, and you can watch the leaked previews from the music video here.
Selena's current single Come & Get It took its time to fully connect with the American audience, but the single managed to enter the Hot 100 chart. Come & Get It is still successful and is currently at #8.

Yesterday, Miley Cyrus' new single, "We Can't Stop", debuted at #11. After its first week of availability, the track entered Digital Songs at No. 3 with 214,000 downloads sold. Demi Lovato's lead single "Heart Attack" is still on the chart at #20, while Taylor Swift's "22" is #26. Ariana Grande has returned to the Hot 100's topten for the first time since the song's debut at #10 ten weeks ago.

Selena Gomez ready for topless role after 'Stars Dance' tour

Selena Gomez is reportedly open to nudity in an upcoming film role if it will help her career. The 20-year-old pop star and actress showed fans she is all grown up with a risqué turn in "Spring Breakers," and stripping down to a bikini may not be the last of it.
"Now that Selena is growing up to be a more serious actress and separating herself from her Disney past, she has no problem going topless if the role calls for it," an inside source tells Hollywood Life.
And just in case there was any question, the source reiterates: "Without a doubt, Selena would go topless in a film if the role was right."
Gomez recently said she will give her music career a backseat for a while to focus on acting. During a live video chat, French radio personality NRJ asked the "Hit the Lights" singer if she plans to give up singing. "Yeah, probably for a while," Gomez answers. "I wanna get more into film. I'm open to trying new things."
She continues, "I just did an action movie and a dark comedy and then a drama so I've been able to do really fun projects that are different."
But for now, Selena says she's working on her fitness to gear up for her summer tour. Well, at least she won't need to go on one of those celebrity fitness binges to prepare for a nude role, should her next project call for it.
Selena's new album "Stars Dance" drops July 23. Her corresponding world tour kicks off Aug. 14 in Vancouver.

Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, and Leo Talm, stars of the new Disney Channel series Girl Meets World attended the Actors Fund's Looking Ahead Program's 10th anniversary last week.

Selena Gomez' Ramona & Beezus co-star, Joey King was at the event. She also voiced "China Girl" in Oz the Great and Powerful, now out on Disney BluRay. Space Warriors' actor Thomas Kasp was also in attendance.

The up-and-coming pop/rock band Goodnight Argent provided entertainment for the night (you can check out an acoustic version of their song "These Were the Days" here!)

"Looking Ahead was established by the 131 year-old non-profit human services organization The Actors Fund in partnership with SAG-AFTRA in 2003 to help professional young performers and their families manage the unique challenges associated with working in the entertainment industry.

“Looking Ahead nurtures two of the most important aspects of every child's life—social interaction and planning for the future,” Savage said. “Young performers are often removed from the social life that they knew before they started working so finding new friends, particularly those with similar interests and an equally unusual career, is critical to sustaining the fun and joy of being young.”"

You can go to ActorsFund.org to learn more about the organization. Click the cut for pics from the event:
