"They play lovers on their hit television show, and now Ashley Benson and Tyler Blackburn are a couple in real life as well.

According to sources, the duo have been dating since they were first linked in April, when they were spotted together at the Coachella Music Festival.

At the time, Benson had interviewed with Seventeen magazine that she needed to learn to be alone, however, she let the door open for a relationship.

"If it happens, it happens. I'm 23 -- I could have a boyfriend tomorrow. But relationships are scary, because once you're in one, you have to face the idea of breaking up or staying together forever," she explained. "It's scary."

And now, it looks as if Ms. Benson is ready to take a chance on love, saying of her man, "He makes me laugh. I have such a crush!""

Jonas Brothers Overcome 'Ugh' Setbacks, Finish Album Eyeing Fall Release

Kevin Jonas says the group was listening to a lot of Frank Ocean, Miguel while writing the album: "It really adapted to the way we were thinking and where we were at"

The Jonas Brothers' forthcoming fifth studio album is "completely finished" and will "represent who we are and where we're at now," according to Kevin Jonas.

The trio's guitar-playing elder brother tells Billboard that the as-yet-untitled and unscheduled effort -- which will be the Jonas's first since "Lines, Vines and Trying Time" in 2009 and first since splitting from Hollywood Records in 2012 -- taps a number of different sources than he and siblings Nick and Joe have explored before.

"In the past we used influences that inspired us -- the Beatles, the Jackson 5, things like that," Kevin explains. "This time around we used influences that were happening for us now, new music, things that were getting us inspired to get in the studio and write. We really listen to a lot of Frank Ocean, Miguel, Calvin Harris, artists that were doing something unique in the moment we were writing this album. It really adapted to the way we were thinking and where we were at. We were just trying to be who we were and who we are, and I think that (music) really helped."

Kevin says the album should "definitely" come out in the fall but had a tough start around February of 2009. "We got in the studio and we started writing and it didn't feel right. It was like, 'Ugh, it's not happening yet,' " he recalls. "So we took some time off. We were able to say, 'OK, this isn't right for us yet,' and that was fine."

The brothers reconvened around June of 2012 and their current single, "First Time," was one of the first to surface.

"We came back together and wrote that song and then everything changed," Kevin says. "We were like, 'Right now we know what we're looking to do. Things are a little bit different' and the focus, the album, all of it changed and it really triggered some forward progress."

The group, which wrote 50-60 songs for the set,has released a previous single, "Pom Poms," and has also played new songs such as "Meet You In Paris," "Let's Go" and "Wedding Bells" in its live shows. The latter, Kevin says, is not about his marriage to Danielle -- his co-star in the E! reality series "Married To Jonas" -- but still hits close to home.

"It's a thinker," Kevin explains.  "If you know our past at all, know my brothers' past, especially, it was a very honest song in the moment. You have to write what you're feeling. It doesn't mean you're always gonna feel that way; just like anything in life, it's just at that moment you're feeling a certain way so you write it, and definitely thinks change."

The trio kicked off the North American leg of its Jonas Brothers Live Tour on July 3 in Orlando, with a show Kevin describes as "a big Jonas production as always, but in a different way. We're rally gonna focus on the music and the aesthetic and the feel. It'll be much more of a party than things were, even in the past."

And the trek is giving Kevin a break from the E! cameras for awhile."They are not filming right now; we actually wrapped the second season, so we're gonna have to see what happens with the next phase," he notes. "It's been a lot of fun. It's been very encouraging that we've been able to do a show like that. WE didn't know how it was going to be right away, but it's been great and we've had a great time doing it. We'll see how long this season of our lives lasts."

Nicki Minaj raves about Miley

"Nicki Minaj is giving Miley Cyrus major props.

E! News caught up with the hip-hopster at a super-swanky Myx & Mingle July 4th cruise around New York Harbor while launching her new fruit-infused beverage, Myx Fusions Moscato, which she co-owns with Love & Hip-Hop creator Mona Scott-Young and Myx CEO, Peter Reaske, that's now in stores.

And when we asked her about the former Hannah Montana star's recent comments that Minaj is one of her biggest influences, Minaj couldn't resist gushing about her young admirer.

"OMG! Miley is sooooo cute and every time I see her I say again and again that she is so damn cute and down to earth. I really love her," the Pink Friday rapper told us exclusively."What a compliment that was to me. I really love her back. Thanks Miley!"

In an interview with Billboard.com last month, Cyrus called Nicki one her top five favorite female singers along with rapper Lil' Kim and her own godmother, Dolly Parton.

"Nicki is now my Lil' Kim of my generation so that's cool," she said.

The remarks came after media and fans have been drawing constant comparisons between the 20-year-old crooner and the 30-year-old MC thanks to Miley's new music video for her hit "We Can't Stop," which echoes the crazy, eclectic style of Nicki's clips, not to mention scenes of Cyrus twerking.

However, Miley denied that she's trying to ape the performer."

"The Lone Ranger" a box-office disaster

$

" "The Lone Ranger," Walt Disney Co's big-budget western starring Johnny Depp, performed below expectations on Wednesday night, raising the possibility that the movie could saddle the media giant with a loss on the film.

The film, which cost an estimated $225 million to produce, generated $9.7 million during Wednesday showings, falling well behind "Despicable Me 2" from Comcast's Universal Pictures, which sold $34.3 million at the domestic box office, according to studio estimates.

Both films opened with limited showings on Tuesday. For the two-day period, "Despicable Me 2" generated $39 million and "The Lone Ranger" saw $11.7 million.

Disney estimates "The Lone Ranger" will sell $45 million for the Wednesday through Sunday July Fourth holiday weekend, below industry experts' initial forecasts of $60 million to $70 million over the five days.

"If it does end up grossing less than $50 million over the five-day stretch, it will most certainly go down as a misfire," said Jeff Bock, senior box office analyst for Exhibitor Relations, which tracks movie box office prospects.

The film's poor opening is a black eye for producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Gore Verbinski and star Depp, the trio behind Disney's ultra-successful "Pirates of the Caribbean" series.

Disney made their prior success a key part of marketing the current film, and Depp's international appeal still could help the film's overseas box office.

"The Lone Ranger" is an action remake of a 1930s radio show and television series in the 1950s. Armie Hammer plays John Reid, the lawman who dons a mask to fight injustice in the Old West. This time, though, it is the Lone Ranger's Native American sidekick Tonto, played by Depp, who takes center stage.

Critics have not embraced the movie. Among 110 reviews compiled on the Rotten Tomatoes website on Wednesday, just 25 percent recommended the film.

Gitesh Pandya, editor of the website Box Office Guru, estimates the film will generate $100 million in domestic ticket sales.

A $60 million opening over its first days would have generated a modest profit, according to Tony Wible, a managing director of Janney Montgomery Scott who follows Disney.

With that opening, he estimated the film would generate $180 million in domestic ticket sales and give Disney total revenues of $370 million from foreign, video and other sales.

Studios and theaters generally share box office receipts.

Disney spent $225 million to make the film and an estimated $100 million to market it.

A Disney spokesperson was not available for comment on the studio's outlook for the film's profitability.

"The Lone Ranger" is the latest entry in Disney's strategy of spending more on fewer films to build franchises from big budget movies that can generate continued revenues from sequels, merchandise and outlets like its theme parks and TV properties.

The company found such success with Marvel superhero films "The Avengers" and "Iron Man 3," and with Pixar's "Monsters University," but wrote down $200 million when sci-fi epic "John Carter" flopped last year.

The studios will update the box office results over the weekend."
