"Disney Channel star Bella Thorne (Shake it Up) has sold Autumn Falls, a YA book series, to Random House Children's Books, the publisher announced.

The series tells the story of a 14-year-old girl whose life is transformed after an encounter with magic.

“This book, although mysterious and magical, is inspired by different aspects of my personal life, which I hold very near and dear to my heart," said Thorne.

"I wanted to write a book that teens could relate to, but with a little bit of magic."

Thorne is best known for her playing dancer Cece Jones on Disney Channel's Shake It Up, which is in its third season.

She has also appeared on Big Love and My Own Worst Enemy.

"TTYLXOX," her 2012 debut single, sold more than 400,000 copies and appeared on the Billboard 100 chart.

Beverly Horowitz, Vice President, Publisher of the Delacorte Press Young Readers Group praised Thorne's "authentic and passionate voice," promising that young female readers "will relate to Bella and her characters.”

Elise Martin will join Thorne as co-author. Martin co-authored the Elixir series with Hillary Duff and soloed on Populazzi.

Editor Wendy Loggia, who will oversee the books for RH's Delacorte imprint, negotiated the deal for the publisher.

Thorne was repped by Matthew Elblonk (DeFiore & Company), who also handled Lauren Conrad's successful book deals."

AnythingDiz talked to Bella about her new series and we got a little extra info about "Autumn Falls" from her!

"It is based in reality. The [magical] element is VERY small in the book. It is meant to be more about the high school experience, personal life tragedy, recovery."

The book is also supposed to appeal to a range of ages, and the books will grow with the audience as the main character progresses all the way through graduation.

This series sounds really interesting, we can't wait to get out hands on it!

“Good Morning America” announced its sizzling 2013 Summer Concert Series lineup with an exciting and eclectic mix of all the hottest and biggest names in music today, starting with the one and only, Mariah Carey.

Music fans of every kind will find a favorite performer in this year’s electrifying line-up: from mega stars Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, and Alicia Keys to pop sensations Demi Lovato, The Wanted,Selena Gomez, OneRepublic, Pitbull, and Carly Rae Jepsen, to country superstar Kenny Chesney; and R&B artist Ne-Yo, to famed soul artist John Legend, to break out acts, Little Mix, and pop rock band Emblem3, to alternative rockers Imagine Dragons; plus hip-hop stars Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

All concerts are free and open to the public and will take place live during "Good Morning America," Fridays from 7 to 9 a.m. ET.

Viewers interested in joining "GMA" in Central Park are encouraged to arrive at Rumsey Playfield via the 72nd street entrance on Fifth Avenue at 6:00am when the park opens to the public.

ANT Farm actress Stefanie Scott recently teamed up with "Cookies for Kids Cancer" to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research.

Here's Stefanie's official statement about working with the organization:

"Hi Everyone! My name is Stefanie Scott. You may know me as Lexi on the Disney Channel show, A.N.T. Farm! I’ve always loved to bake – especially chocolate chip cookies for my brother.

So, when I heard about Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, I had to get involved. Right now, more than 40,000 kids across the country are battling cancer. And I want to do my part to raise awareness and funds to help give each of those kids hope for a bright tomorrow.

I know that kids and teens want to make a difference, and with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, it’s easy and fun. One of the things I love about Cookies for Kids’ Cancer is they offer ways to support the cause that anyone can do!

The most important part – Being a Good Cookie. What does that mean? It means that you find a way to help raise money for pediatric cancer research that works for you. I like to bake, so a bake sale makes sense for me. But kids across the country are getting involved in lots of ways. Some are running 5k races – others are organizing entire 5ks in honor of Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. In the season-four premiere of Good Luck Charlie, the Duncan family decides to build their dream home after their house is riddled with termites, the prospect of which excites everyone except Charlie (Mia Talerco).

How do the Muppets come into play? Teddy (Bridgit Mendler) suddenly has a change of heart after having a dream in which Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and company use persuasive tactics to get her to realize that her family home is where she wants to stay.
