In a few weeks' time, 2013 will be halfway done -- and an incredible year of popular music will already be in the books. From the resurgence of consummate pros like Justin Timberlake and Daft Punk to the breakout success of Icona Pop and Kacey Musgraves to spectacular performances like Beyonce's Super Bowl soiree and Kanye West's manic "SNL" takeover, this year has been host to some musical moments that will resonate long after 2013 ends. In a first for the Disney Channel, next season an episode of Good Luck Charlie will feature a family with two moms.

Producers are currently casting the couple, with production set for next week. The episode will air in early 2014 as part of Good Luck Charlie's final season. Because Good Luck Charlie is coming to a close, the characters are only expected to appear in this one episode.

In the storyline, parents Amy and Bob Duncan (Leigh-Allyn Baker and Eric Allan Kramer) set up a playdate for preschooler Charlie (Mia Talerico) and one of her new friends. When the kid arrives, the Duncans learn that Charlie's pal has two moms. That's fine, but the potential new friendship is put to the test as one mom chats with Amy, and the other is stuck listening to Bob's dull stories.

The playdate is actually the secondary story in the episode, as much of the action will center on Teddy (Bridgit Mendler) and her best friend Ivy, as Ivy prepares to head off to college.

But Disney Channel understands the groundbreaking nature of featuring a same-sex couple on one of its sitcoms and took extra care in crafting the episode. "This particular storyline was developed under the consultancy of child development experts and community advisors," a Disney Channel spokesperson says. "Like all Disney Channel programming, it was developed to be relevant to kids and families around the world and to reflect themes of diversity and inclusiveness."

Disney Channel already tested the waters last year with its on-air social outreach campaign "Make Your Mark." In one segment, a teen with two moms was featured, a move that was called a "big step forward" by GLAAD.

"Justin Bieber needn't worry: Selena Gomez isn't dating Ed Sheeran.

Despite Us Weekly's claim that the "Come & Get It" singer and the redheaded Brit were "hooking up," a source tells E! News the duo are "just friends." The twosome became pals through Taylor Swift , who is Ed's tourmate and Selena's BFF. (Selena's rep had no comment, and Ed's rep did not immediately respond to E! News' request for comment.)

We know Ed isn't dating Selena, but we don't know too, too much about his romantic life other than what he reveals through song. Earlier this year, Fresh 102.7 asked if Ed had a girlfriend. His reply? "Even if I did have one, I wouldn't say anything anyway!"

"Everyone knows almost everything about me. I make it very clear that I'm cool with people knowing all my personal life through my songs," he said. "There's stuff that you want to go home to and have a little bit of an escape, and I think if I was to ever have one I wouldn't be mentioning her every five minutes in an interview."

And while his musical contemporaries' personal lives make headlines on a daily basis, Ed doesn't think this has to be the case. "You can keep it out if you want to keep it out," he said. "My choice would be to keep it out."

Looks like Selena Gomez loves being a big sister!

E! News has exclusively obtained the first photos of the singer and her new baby sister, Gracie Elliott, and they're even more aborable than you could imagine.

The pop star's mother, Mandy Cornett, along with Cornett's husband Brian Teefey visited Selena at work in Malibu while the brunette beauty was on her lunch break for a shoot for her Dream Out Loud clothing line.

The entire family looked overjoyed to be spending quality time together, showering the little one with love and laughter.

And it seems like Selena's maternal instincts have already kicked in—as she appeared totally at ease caring for her sis.

Cornett welcomed her first child with Teefey just nine days ago. Little Gracie is Selena's first sibling.

"Momma, Brian, and me are all so grateful for all your well wishes," the "Come and Get It" singer tweeted after the baby's arrival. "My lil sissy Gracie Elliot Teefey was born on June 12th. Luv you all XO."

20-year-old Selena Gomez, most known for her singing and acting career, has recently released a new single called Come and Get It. As the video premiere for the song approaches, the song has created a screeching buzz throughout the United States.

The Ester Dean written track has already been featured on multiple CBS radio stations. Jason Kidd, the program director, asked WPGC's DJ Flexx to produce a gogo version of the hit. In a quick turnaround, DJ Flexx enlisted 4DC Music Group and Matthew Shell to help put together the track. The song has already become the new rave of the city.

Washington, DC is home to gogo music, premiering major artists such as Chuck Brown, Rare Essence, EU, Backyard Band and more. Gogo made its debut in the nation's capital in the mid 1960s and has remained an integral part of the region's culture.

Was it love at first sight?

I absolutely think so. At least for one of them, which I would assume is Justin. His moon in Libra has a strong need for partnership, and feel the most secure and safe when they have someone around(even just to go to the grocery store) and a lot of people with this placement get into serious relationships when they’re young. When you mix that with his Sun in romantic Pisces and his commanding presence, given off by his Scorpio rising, poor Selena may not have stood a chance. Her sun in Cancer was attracted to the Pisces/Scorpio combo, since they’re all water signs, and even though Cancer’s keep themselves closed off at first as a self-preservation technique, she was ultimately won over by the way she felt he could “see through her.” A Pisces/Scorpio sun/rising gives Justin the intuition and compassion for others that Pisces are notorious for, while also having some of that smoldering magnetism and that makes people so drawn to Scorpio risings (actually, Scorpio risings tend to either be completely loved or absolutely hated). Selena’s Venus and Rising in Leo makes her very susceptible to flattery- Venus in Leo particularly needs to feel special and thrives on attention from the opposite sex (and why wouldn’t they get it? They are fabulous you know). However, because of her Sun in Cancer, it waters down that air of regalness and she’s likely to put her more sensitive and understanding side out there, which Justin loves. With his Venus (planet of love) also in romantic and dreamy Pisces, he’s likely to act on a whim, feeling his way through the early stages of a romance andtossing out small romantic gestures, like reading poetry or writing songs to win over his lady love. And once he poured it out for Selena, she couldn’t help but be impressed and willing to give him a shot.

Good communication?

Not really. They probably communicate the best when they’re in the throws of drama- Selena particularly, having such a strong influence from fire signs, is ready to throw down immediately. With her Moon-in-Aries, it makes her emotions react quickly, with urgency, and want to talk about problems and get them out of the way so they can run to their next emotional emergency. Mercury (planet of communication) in Leo gives her even more of a predisposition towards egotism, being attached to her opinions, and a flair for drama. While Selena is a Cancer, whom are typically non-confrontational and more passive aggressive, they’re also moody and like a crab want to side step around everything. Combine that with her above mentioned aspects and you have someone, who at first, will probably try to persuade an argument in their direction, and when that doesn’t work, orshe feels she isn’t being taken seriously or respected, then it’s ON. Tempers flair, drama is ignited, and now the ball is in Justin’s court. He has Mercury and Mars in Aquarius; because Aquarius is a detached and intellectual sign, in Mercury, it gives natives a quiet way of stirring people up, often using an intellectual superiority complex to try and intimidate people into agreeing with them, which alternately, Selena is also trying to do with her Mercury in Leo- but not by using any superiority complexes but by trying more by asserting intentions of good will (like I said… at first). Selena isn’t feeling this “superiority complex” because she wants to be King of the jungle (and queen to be honest…) and Justin is okay with that until his Mars in Aquarius starts to feel stifled. Most of the time, he is very open to letting others be who they are, but with “Rebel without a cause” Aquarius being occupied by Mercury and Mars, takes personal insult to trying to be controlled and will begin to rebel. Mix rebellion with the vindictive and sharp-tongued Scorpio- and you have a volatile combination for an emotionally intense (we are dealing with all three water signs after all) eruption of fuckery- with neither party willing to budge on their position thanks to both of their Mars in fixed signs and both of them feeling slighted by the other, but at the same time, probably screaming declarations of love and expecting the other person to believe love is enough. They walk away, but with some distance, they both easily calm down. Selena is more likely to not reach out, but Justin, with his Pisces sun, will come back bigger and better than before- more trusting, more compassionate, more willing to make it work, and he knows he can win her over with flattery, and he knows he can read her but she probably doesn’t have as easy of a time reading him- part of this is thanks to Mars in Aquarius, who never reacts the same way twice, preferring to surprise people by keeping it unclear as to what makes them tick. Regardless, he knows what it takes to suck her back in, but they continue to run into the same problems; just because the effort is there, doesn’t mean that anyone is actually changing, and they both probably expect the other person to change instead. When the relationship isn’t good, Justin will be the one to make concessions; but when the relationship is good, Selena will be the one to make concessions.

Hot sex life?

They might think so, because they’re young and beautiful and have so many surreal things happen to them- but really, it fizzles out.Selena’s Mars in Taurus and that makes for a very sensual lover (this position of Mars is said to be the most “physical” lovers), wanting all her senses aroused, but having Leo in Venus, also gives her the tendency to hiding any inexperience she has, and also towards trying to show off for a lover. Leo is the sign that rules over sex (Not Scorpio, that’s a big misconception in astrology) and tend to make it more fun and games… Not that it really matters, because unlike Selena, sex is probably not that important in a relationship and probably doesn’t have a lot of consistency in his sexual endeavors. Mars in Aquarius is part of this, who like the idea of sex more than the actual act, and even have a certain detachment about them which can make it hard to find a connection with them during love making. Venus in Pisces doesn’t necessarily help this, as sometimes, it makes him very emotionally present, and other times, he could be lost in his own head and not really putting forth the effort for intimacy.

What ended it?

Aside from the communication problems I already talked about, there is a huge combination of things. First of all, Justin is not a “planner,” he is more prone to feeling his way through life over thinking his way through life as is common for his Piscesplacements. Meanwhile, Selena is here to get shit done. Moon in Aries and Mars in Taurus give her strong determination; with Aries wanting instant satisfaction and Taurus being okay with taking the slow and steady path, which creates some conflict for her I’m sure- always struggling with how quickly she is achieving success and may begin to get too many insecurities about why Justin, who is flying by the tail of his emotions, has more going for him, than her, who has taken the more tried and true conservative approach.Ultimately, she is more likely to success in the end, with her Leo placements making for a natural showman (showwoman, excuse me) and entertainer, and with Mars in Taurus being ready to work hard and put in the time, and has uncanny staying power. Another big challenge is that Justin is an escapist- when reality gets too hard, Pisces placements will make him prone to self-delusion, escapism, and self-pity. Selena is more of a go-getter and despite her compassionate Cancer sun, his whole refusal of responsibility really gets under her skin and probably leads to discontent. Moreover, Selena is really dispositioned to fits, tantrums, and will be demanding- As I stated above, because of Justin’s Mars in Aquarius, he can get a real “take it or leave it” attitude as well as a strong sense of rebellion, so while he will try, at first, to appease her, ultimately, her being “high maintenance” will really wear on him and make him act out against their relationship. That’s probably more where the cheating rumors start to come in- because, remember,he does know how to push her buttons, and the number one button you can push on her is that, which ironically, is also his number one button to push, which Selena figures out later instead of sooner, and more with a “I can play his game against him” attitude than really to hurt him. They might even run across problems with Selena “bragging” about how many men hit on her, not to be spiteful, but as a tactic to show Justin that she is a hot prize and he should be grateful to have her- Justin will not see it this way and is likely to let his jealousy get the best of him. Ultimately, they may try to “be friends” but should soon realize they handle problems in their life too differently to have a high profile relationship.

You know what, one of those portable speaker things would be awesome to have at the pool. Ireally need some Eos lip balm. And you know what would be fun? Let’s make a skull out of the leftover French fries in my car.

Miley Cyrus has taken over my brain, y’all.

The singer delivered her newest music video nearly two days ago, and I’m only a slightly embarrassed to admit that I’ve listened to the song at least once every time I’ve gotten into my car since.

Not only does the song refuse to let go of its hold on your brain, but its corresponding video has forced images of rebellion and product placement onto the psyche of anyone who’s watched it from start to finish.

Thankfully, Celebuzz had the opportunity to speak exclusively with Diane Martel, the director of said music video (who’s worked with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Ciara and Robin Thicke) — and she was kind enough to shed some light on what in the hell everyone was thinking when they included twerking dancing bears and amputated limbs.


CB!: How did the Miley Cyrus-Diane Martel collaboration come to fruition?
DM: Miley and I met through a mutual friend and collaborator, Pharrell Williams. He thought we would get along. We spoke about friend love and the joy of sleepless nights spent in revelry with a tight crew of friends.

CB!: What’s the message you wanted the video to convey?
DM: I think the indirect message is to be free. I enjoy the idea that an American pop icon can have surreal imagery in her video. Miley has a very open mind and, like the lovely kids born with the internet as their companion, she’s got a wealth of references to play with. We spoke at first about intimacy between friends, but I think the video is more about her intimacy with her audience. She’s very playful and silly in the video. She’s not self serious and boorish like so many singers.

CB!: Is there an underlying message Miley wanted to come through?
DM: She’s into living freely and being expressive. Its a great time for her and she’s enjoying her life. She is not a kid who is obsessed with her career in a way that precludes having normal friendships and normal fun.

CB!: Some have wondered if the video is a parody of Miley’s reported reputation as a party girl. What do you think?
DM: She’s no more of a party girl than any other American kid. If you can’t party when you are her age, when can you party?

CB!: Does that mean we’re saying goodbye to the Disney girl her fans have grown up with?
DM: Don’t we all grow up?

CB!: When it came to the interesting and artsy pops of video surprises — for example, the French fry skull, piñata, bed of bread, giant dancing bears, Miley’s doll-kissing moment, and tons of twerking — was all of that Miley’s idea?
DM: They are giant blunts [in the pinata]. Miley found a photo online of the French fry skull and sent it to me. It was a beautiful French fry skull. We were inspired by it and recreated it our own way. After we filmed we found out that it was created by a fine artist named Christopher Chiappa. The taxidermy was something Miley mentioned early on, and my fabulous art director, Georgia Walker, found in a smarmy prop shop. The lyric with the multiple taxidermy deer image is very touching. It almost makes us cry when we see that shot. The doll is a weird reference to a Helmet Newton photo. I worked on the idea with a friend, Aramis Isreal, who is a creative director and has worked on a lot of successful ads. We gathered a lot of blogged images and worked them into the shot list. The bread was my idea, bread/cash, etc. And I have a background in performance art, so a lot of the stuff came from the corners of my mind. The cut off fingers came about when we were on location scouting in the kitchen and I said, ‘oh someone has to cut off their fingers.’ I grew up on Devo and John Waters, so that might inform some of this stuff.

CB!: How involved was Miley in the conceptual planning?
DM: She let me go, she’s amazing to work for.

CB!: Tell us your favorite part of the shoot.
DM: I loved the whole shoot, I cant wait to work with her again. She is the sh*t.

CB!: To wrap it up, you must have a funniest (and fun) memory of shooting with Miley. What is it?
DM: I asked her to sing “Jolene” for me and she did when she was in the pool. She was so beautiful singing that song, so free and sweet. And her voice is quite beautiful, that was really touching. The whole thing was funny. The teddy bear twerker scene was pretty f*cking funny. "Helena Bonham Carter has nabbed the plum role, or perhaps it’s the pumpkin role, of the fairy godmother in Disney’s live-action version of Cinderella.

Kenneth Branagh is directing the movie project, which sees Lily James in the title role, Cate Blanchett as the wicked stepmother and Game of Thrones' Richard Madden as the prince. Sophie McShera (Downton Abbey) and Holliday Granger (The Borgias) are playing the stepsisters.

The fairy godmother will be getting more screen time in this version than in Disney’s classic animated movie, with the character disguised as an old beggar who watches over Cinderella before revealing herself as the magical being she truly is.

Simon Kinberg, Allison Shearmur and David Barron are producing the fantasy and are planning a fall shoot in London.

Bonham Carter is no stranger to Disney, having played the Red Queen in 2010’s Alice in Wonderland, and appears in the studio’s big summer tentpole, The Lone Ranger, which reunites her with Johnny Depp.
